“I'm happy to share my review of Clem and his team at Kingside Moves. I've used Clem three times in the past 6 years, and one other (well advertised mover) once. Here's how they compared. Communication: Kingside 10/10 Other Movers (6/10) Clem kept his pre-inspection appointment, communicated every step of the way, and there were no surprises. I was able to handle things like key drop-off and key pick-up with a breeze and without stress. Other Movers - 2 good guys, but were not invested in the experience or the company brand they represented. Communication was minimal and confusion was created when they spent 4 hours wrapping and packing my furniture (a studio apartment where everything was boxed up for move). This is something that Clem managed in less than an hour. On moving day, I was often left wondering if they would complete in a timely fashion. When I had questions about costs, see below, they wouldn't answer and had me talk with a manager at another location. Price: Kingside 10/10 Other Movers 1/10 Clem does a pre-inspection appointment, and came in at a fraction of what the other movers ended up costing me. There are never any surprises with what he charges. One move he was more than $100 above the inspection quote, but the move also took an extra 1.5 hours, due to the heavy weight of one of the furniture pieces and lack of feasible freight elevator.This was the only time there was significant difference in what was quoted on the 3 moves, but was still in line with expectations made during the inspection. Other movers charged hourly, and while there was no damage to my furniture, I've never had movers take 4 hours to pack and wrap my furniture before. It felt like, because they were hourly, intentional extra time and care was taken to protect and wrap - it was excessive. When I asked about it, their 'manager' mentioned how important it was to make sure everything was protected - it costed 3x what I had paid Kingside for my move before and after. Only one piece of furniture had changed... Time - Kingside 10/10 Other Movers: 4/10 Kingside finished my move, that was about 45 minutes in drive time, in about 4.5 hours. Other movers moved me across the street basically, and took about 6 hours. Clem and his team are professional, invested, local, and fair. I cannot recommend him enough. You would be lucky if you can get on his calendar for your move.”
